| North Island/Mid Coast Zone |
Location & Contacts

The North Island/Mid Coast Zone is the Coastal Fire Centre's largest zone. The zone extends from northern Vancouver Island to the West Coast (Gold River) and to the East Coast (Fanny Bay). This zone includes the small islands from Quadra Island north. This zone also includes areas extending to the Coast Mountains of mainland B.C. including Bella Coola, Tweedsmuir Park, Cape Carlton and Bute Inlet.
There are two fire bases located in the North Island/Mid Coast Zone. The Quinsam fire base on Vancouver Island is located in Campbell River and is home to three, three-person initial attack crews. The fire base in Bella Coola is used seasonally.

| Sunshine Coast Zone |

The Sunshine Coast Zone includes the forested areas of Bute Inlet, Powell River, Sechelt and includes Cortez and Texada Islands.
In the Sunshine Coast Zone there are two fire bases, one in Powell River and one in Sechelt. Sechelt is home to 2, three-person IA crews and Power River has one.

The Pemberton Zone includes the southern area of the Coast Mountains and extends southwest to include Whistler and Squamish and Lions Bay, and northeast to Pemberton, Darcy and through Ash Pass.
The Pemberton Zone has two fire bases, one in Pemberton and one in Squamish. The Pemberton fire base is home to two, three-person initial attack crews as well as two, 20-person unit crews. The Squamish base is home to one, three-person initial attack crew.

| Mid Island Zone |

The Mid Island Zone office is located near the Coastal Fire Centre in Parksville. The Mid Island Zone includes the Nanaimo Regional District and the Northern Gulf Islands and extends north to Fanny Bay, west to the Walbran, and includes Tofino, Ucluelet and Stewardson Inlet.
There are two fire bases located in the Mid Island Zone. The Errington fire base is in Parksville and the Port Alberni fire base is located at the Port Alberni airport. Two, three-person initial attack crews are stationed at the Errington fire base, while the Port Alberni base is home to the 20-person Thunderbirds unit crew.

| Fraser Zone |

The Fraser Zone is in the Coastal Fire Centre's most populated area. This zone is in the lower mainland and includes Vancouver, Chilliwack and Abbotsford. It extends east into the Fraser Valley and includes Boston Bar in the Fraser Canyon, the Coquihalla toll booths on Hwy 5 and all of Manning Park.
The Fraser Zone has three fire bases. Haig Fire Base in Hope has three, three-person initial attack crews and one 20-person unit crew. The Abbotsford base has one 20-person unit crew and one three-person IA crew and is located in the same facility as the Abbotsford Air Tanker dispatch and reload centre. A third base in Boston Bar is used seasonally.

| South Island Zone |

The Coastal Fire Centre's southern zone extends northeast from Victoria to include the Southern Gulf Islands, Ladysmith, Nanaimo Lakes and west around Nitinat River and Port Renfrew.
The South Island Zone has one base located in Cobble Hill. Three three-person initial attack crews are stationed at the Cobble Hill Fire Base.
