Crews

The Forest Service Wildfire Management Branch uses two types of crews:

• Three-person initial attack crews (Firetack, Helitack, Rapattack or Parattack) respond to the first fire call; and,
• 20-person unit crews are dispatched to larger fires where significant resources may be needed to fight the blaze.
